Tubular Conveyor Belt
Tubular Conveyor Belt
I. Structure The carcass of tubular conveyor belt takes high-tensile canvas or steel cords as the reinforcing skeleton, matched with high-strength, high-abrasion premium rubber compound as top and bottom cover layers. During operation, the belt gradually transitions from flat to U-shaped, and finally curls into a tubular shape to achieve enclosed conveying. II. Application It is widely used for sealed transportation of bulk materials in metallurgy, electric power, chemical industry, ports, docks, building materials, coal mines, mines, grain and other industries. It is available in multiple types including abrasion-resistant, heat-resistant, cold-resistant, chemical corrosion-resistant, flame-retardant and anti-static grades. III. Features The tubular belt possesses appropriate transverse rigidity to maintain a circular tubular shape during operation, ensuring excellent tubular retention and sealing performance. The belt body has good elasticity and longitudinal flexibility, enabling it to withstand frequent, long-term severe bending and contraction cycles. When materials are conveyed by tubular conveyor belts, they are fully wrapped inside the belt, which increases the contact area between materials and the belt as well as the internal friction angle of materials, thereby raising the conveying inclination angle of the conveyor. The maximum inclination angle of ordinary conveyor belts is only 22°, while that of tubular conveyors can exceed 30°. A larger inclination angle shortens the horizontal layout length of the conveyor and reduces construction investment. The tubular conveyor belt can carry materials on the return side after discharging, realizing two-way material transportation, which cannot be achieved by ordinary conveyor belts. Since the return run also maintains a tubular form with no material spillage, the whole conveying system produces no pollution and eliminates cleaning costs.
